+A three week TALENT course on Density Functional Theory and Self-Consistent Methods will be held at the ECT* in Trento, Italy, starting July 14 and ending August 1 2014. Participants are expected to arrive on July 13.
 +
+The goals of the course are threefold: (i) To gain an in-depth understanding of the basic concepts, mathematical methods, and computational techniques used to solve the quantum many-body problem within the framework of density functional theory (DFT) and related methods, (ii) To learn about the current developments, challenges, and research opportunities in the specific context of nuclear structure, and (iii) To conduct and manage a group computational nuclear physics project utilizing various DFT methods. The course will thus give the participants the necessary proficiency to tackle a broad spectrum of research problems in atomic and nuclear physics.
