This is a whirlwind overview of cosmology.  I tried to set up the connections that are important for nuclear astrophysics--not only setting the stage for primordial nucleosynthesis, but also noting the role of Type Ia supernovae as standard(izable) candles as tools to probe cosmic acceleration.
