Because of this insurance plan, **it is important to plan international travel early!** It is best to start planning at least 4 weeks in advance to allow time for the insurance plan to be processed. Once signup is complete, you will receive an insurance ID card and a brochure with information about what to do in case of an emergency while traveling abroad. Because of this insurance plan, **it is important to plan international travel early!** It is best to start planning at least 4 weeks in advance to allow time for the insurance plan to be processed.  +**Note:** If you choose to extend your trip abroad for personal travel, the HTH Worldwide plan will only cover the time spent on NSCL business. The insurance can be extended to cover your personal travel time as well, but that must be arranged (and paid for) directly with HTH Worldwide. The lab //cannot// pay for insurance for your personal travel, so if you do plan to extend your stay, please be clear about that in your travel authorization paperwork. You can arrange to extend the coverage into your personal travel by calling 1-888-243-2358.
