This is an old revision of the document!

Usual alarm types and response:

You need to log on gln1, see LN computer. Go to directory ~/scripts and run ./run-gln-ui.sh which gives the fill system interface. Type help for getting overview on commands.

In some cases you need to edit the fill-system configuration file ~/gln/gln.fig for setting new temperature thresholds. In order to apply new gln.fig configuration you need to say 'load' in run-gln-ui.sh and MUST RE-ENABLE the filling!

IN WORST CASE: You can always hand-fill a quad in any mounting position.

Long fill

  • What happened: The LN outlet sensor hasn't triggered.
  • Run run-gln-ui.sh
  • Say 'clr' to clear the alarm
  • Check 'Fill Duration Plot' if this sensor got cold
  • If this happens regularly you may want to increase its trigger threshold in gln.fig (F1 directive, beginning in gln.fig)

Detector warm

  • You get a detector high temperature alarm.
  • Check 'all zoom cold (pdf)' plot.
  • T-plot for detector is just straight: Go to Detector warm I (spike)
  • T-plot for detector shows exp-like increase: Go to Detector warm II

Detector warm I (spike)

  • What happened: T read spiked and caused T high alarm
  • Run run-gln-ui.sh
  • Say 'clr' to clear alarm
  • You need to re-enable filling of this detector
  • If this happens regularly you may want to increase the T high threshold in gln.fig (F3 directive, end in gln.fig)

Detector warm II

  • What happened: Detector runs out of LN and really warms up
  • IMPORTANT: detector T increased by few Kelvin only, see example plot below.
  • Run run-gln-ui.sh
  • Say 'fill det#', confirm that you want to fill it.
  • Say 'coff det#', this stops T checking (and alarming and disabling) of this detector
  • Watch the fill, check for reasonable fill time (not that LN out is triggering much too early)
  • After fill, within ~30 min the temperature should recover (see example plot below).
  • If T is good say 'con #det', so T checking is enabled again.
  • If it is deep in the night: You can temporary increase T high threshold (F3 directive)
  • NEVER LEAVE DETECTOR T CHECK OFF

Here an real-life example. After alarm got received warm-up-example.pdf
