Gamma-ray attenuation
We have considered different materials for the gas chamber. In order to estimate the attenuation of the gamma we have taken the attenuation coefficientes from NIST webpage and calculated the attenuation in 3 mm of Aluminum and 3 mm of Stainless Steel (70% Fe, 18% Cr) for gamma energies between 1 keV and 20 MeV.
