The Galaxy Group

We plan to use the open source code Gadget-2 from the Garching group for galaxy evolution. We would like to study the differences in galaxy evolution (and subsequent morphology) for galaxies with realistic gravitational potentials, or those that may have formed in a universe without dark matter.

Time permitting we would like to simulate a merger of galaxies.
