### X-Ray Burst Simulation on Accreting Neutron Star

(group 5)

### Original Goals

1. Simulate Bondi accretion on VH1 with appropriate condition
2. Run XRB reaction network on xnet
3. Link the inputs and outputs between both simulations
4. Plot some thermodynamic variables over time
5. Study the effect of some parametric changes

### VH1 and Bondi Accretion Model

To simulate the accretion of matter onto the surface of a neutron star in a binary system we decided to use VH1 setup with a Bondi accretion model.

Some important parameters within VH1:

• 1D Spherically Symmetric: ngeom = 2
• Reflective boundary at surface: nleft = 0
• Fixed value boundary above neutron star: nright = 2
• Minimum value of grid: Xmin = 10 km
• Maximum value of grid: Xmax = 50 km
